- MASJID AISHA – THE SECOND LARGEST MOSQUE IN MECCA: Masjid Aisha has a capacity of Capacity: 47,084 worshipers.It is also called Al-Rajhi mosque and is located (Muzdalefa Road/3th ring Road before Al-Taif Road detour) in Al-Naseem neighborhood(south of Al-Azizeyyah and north of Al-Awali district) (Exactly at the eastern foot of Jabal Thawr “Mount Thawr”).It is the Place where People of Mecca Put Ihram and People doing subsequent Umrah renew their Ihram.
- JABAL AL REHMA: Jabal Al-Rahma is a small hillock and it is from this platform that Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, delivered his unforgettable farewell sermon, enunciating far-reaching religious, economic, social and political reforms.A small white pillar atop the hillock denotes the place where the Prophet stood more than 14 centuries ago. It is the wish of every pilgrim to reach Jabal Al-Rahma and pray in its vicinity.
- JANNAT AL MUALLA (CEMETRY IN MAKKAH): Also, known asAl-Hajun. The Prophet [SAW] used to visit it frequently. It is the 2nd holiest graveyard after Baqi. Some of the People who are buried here are:
Abd Manaf: Great, great-grandfather of the Holy Prophet [SAW]
Grave of Hashim: Great-grandfather of the Holy Prophet [SAW]
Grave of Abdul Muttalib: Grandfather of the Holy Prophet [SAW]
Grave of Amina: Mother of the Holy Prophet [SAW]
According to another source, Amina is buried in Abwa (between Makkah and Madina)
Grave of Khadija: First wife of the Holy Prophet [SAW] and mother of Sayyida Fatima [RA]
Qasim: son of the Holy Prophet [SAW] who died in his infancy.
- GAR E HIRA: First revelation of the Holy Quran was on this holy site, one of many holy sites in Makkah.
- GAR E SUHR:(the cave where the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) and Harzat Abu Bakr Siddiq rested in this place on the night of hijrah). A must for the ziyarat.
- BIRTHPLACE OF BELOVED PROPHET MOHAMMED:(PBUH), (now a library). One of the closest of holy sites to haram.
- MASJID JIN: According to tradition, this is a Mosque situated on the Al Haram street, where once the Holy Prophet (SAW) was reciting the Holy Qura’an. A group of Jinn passing by heard the recitation and stopped to hear more.
- MOUNT ABU QUBAIS: it is the place where the Prophet (SAW) performed the miracle of splitting the moon in two Parts.
- MASJID AL-KHAYF: This masjid is located at the foot of a mountain in the south of Mina, close to the smallest Jamarat. It was at this spot that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) and numerous other Prophets before him performed Salah. Masjid al-Khayf is a masjid whose virtues are proven in some Hadith. According to a traceable Hadith of ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) said:
“Seventy Prophets prayed in Masjid al-Khayf.”[Majma‘uz-Zawahid]
- MASJID E NIMRA: is located on the plain of Arafat. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) was at Arafat on his farewell Hajj on the ninth day of Dhul Hijjah 10 AH (632 CE) he camped here. After midday, he delivered his famous sermon (reproduced below) at Waadi Urana nearby while seated on his camel, after which he led the salah. More than 100,000 Sahabah accompanied him on this Hajj.
- BADR:(about 20 minutes from Madinah) (place of battle of badr).
- VIRTUE OF MADINA:
“For the believer, Madina is the best place. If only they could understand it’s virtue fully, they would never leave it, and whoever departs from Madinah, having become disenchanted with it, Allah will send someone better to replace him. And whoever bears patiently the ordeals of Madinah, for him shall I be an intercessor (or witness) on the Day of Qiyamah.” [Muslim] - MADINA IS IMMUNE TO DAJJAL “There will be no town which Ad-Dajjal (the anti-Christ) will not enter except Makkah and Madinah, and there will be no entrance (road) but the angels will be standing in rows guarding it against him, and then Madinah will shake with its inhabitants thrice and Allah will expel all the nonbelievers and the hypocrites from it.” [Bukhari]
